So I replied to them with this "Please look up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act for the USA and the Consumer Protection Act in Canada for Ontario. The burden of proof is on HP to prove that because we bought this scanner from a 3rd party dealer brand new sealed in a box like every other company sells their product caused this issue. HP can't just claim the warranty does not exist because I bought it somewhere else. There is no law or Act in Ontario that gives HP this privilege.
